    Keeping Track of Saved Locations

Tips for organising the places you use often with UPCS: how to keep, name and reuse your codes so they are easy to find.

    Updated 14 October 2026 · 2 min read

Most people use UPCS for a small set of places: home, work, a family member's house, a regular delivery spot. Keeping those organised saves time.

    Where your codes live

Signed-in users have a My postcodes area, covered in find your codes in My postcodes. That is where you go to find places connected to your account.

    Habits that help

    1. Create each code carefully. A good code starts with a well-chosen point. See zooming in to the entrance.
    2. Keep a separate code for each entrance. A house with a front gate and a rear lane can have two codes with different purposes.
    3. Note what each one is for. In your own notes, write "front gate, deliveries" next to the code so you pick the right one later.
    4. Look a code up before reusing. Confirm the map still matches the entrance you intend. Checking you chose the right spot lists what to look for.

    Same place, same code

Because the code depends on coordinates, choosing the same place again gives the same code. You will not end up with competing codes for one cell.

    Keeping a backup

Store codes you rely on in a place you control, such as a notes app or contacts. Alongside each code, add the share link, upcs.io/PK-1A2B-3C4D with your real code.

    Sharing from your list

Use copy the share link or share a code by message when you need to send one.

Your dashboard describes what else your account offers.
