UPCS and Magento: Integration Options
UPCS has no ready-made Magento extension. This page outlines, conceptually, how a Magento store could use the embeddable map and REST API.

UPCS does not have a Magento extension. If you run Magento and want customers to choose an exact location, the route is a custom integration built on the same two building blocks that power the plugins: the embeddable map and the REST API. The approach below is conceptual. It is not a packaged product, and the build is up to you or your developer.
The conceptual route
- Get access. Create a partner account, generate an API key and register your store's https address as an allowed origin.
- Create a session on the server. Your Magento backend calls the UPCS endpoint with the key and the store origin, then passes the short-lived session token to the page. See create a map session.
- Mount the map on the checkout page. Load the UPCS embed script and call
UPCS.mountin a container. See mount the map. - Capture the result. Use the
onSelectcallback to read the code and coordinates, and place them in a hidden field or other order data field of your choice. See read the click response. - Optional server check. Resolve or look up codes from your server with the REST endpoints; see server-to-server resolve.
Things to plan for
- Where to store the UPCS code, latitude and longitude on the order, and how to show it in the admin.
- How the session token will be requested without exposing your API key to the browser.
- How you will test: register
http://localhost:5173as an origin for local development.
Alternatives
If your needs fit, a platform with a ready plugin may be simpler: see plugins or custom integration.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a UPCS Magento extension?
No. There is no ready-made Magento extension. Integration would be custom work using the embeddable map and the REST API.
