The UPCS plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce adds the UPCS map to your checkout and gives you a shortcode for other pages. This page covers the requirements and the installation. Configuration comes next, in plugin settings and test connection.

    Requirements

    • WordPress 5.8 or newer.
    • PHP 8.0 or newer.
    • WooCommerce, only if you want the map at checkout.
    • A UPCS API key from a partner account.

The current plugin version is 1.3.0.

    Install the plugin

    1. Download the plugin file from the plugins page.
    2. In the WordPress admin, go to Plugins, then Add New.
    3. Choose Upload Plugin, select the downloaded upcs-map.zip and choose Install Now.
    4. Activate the plugin when installation finishes.

    After installation

    1. Open Settings, then UPCS Map.
    2. Enter your API key in the Shared API Key field and run Test API Connection.
    3. Check the checkout, where the map appears after the billing form. See where the map appears.

    If the install fails

    • Confirm your server runs PHP 8.0 or newer; an older version will not run the plugin.
    • Make sure you uploaded the plugin file as downloaded rather than an unpacked folder.
    • If activation reports a problem, deactivate and reactivate, then check the WordPress version.

    Other platforms

If you run a different platform, see the PrestaShop module or OpenCart extension, or read plugins or custom integration.

    Before you install

Take a backup of the site first, as you would before adding any plugin. If you have a staging copy of the store, install and test there, then repeat on the live site. This keeps checkout available to customers while you confirm that the map loads and the saved order data looks right.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need WooCommerce to use the plugin?
