Reading the country from a code
The first two letters of every code are the country prefix, as in PK-1A2B-3C4D. The lookup page also shows the country in full, so you can confirm it matches what you expected. See understanding the code format.
Outside the list
If you choose a point in a country that is not listed, UPCS responds with unsupported_location. This is not a fault; the location is simply outside the current coverage. The page on codes outside supported countries explains what you can do.
More about each country
For background on how addresses and postal codes work in a particular country, the countries section has dedicated pages. To start creating codes, follow how to generate your first code.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I choose a place in an unsupported country?
UPCS returns an unsupported_location error instead of a code.
