You can use UPCS from the browser on a phone or tablet. Open upcs.io, and the same features are available as on a computer: creating a code, looking one up and sharing it.
Create a code on your phone
- Open upcs.io in your mobile browser.
- Open the map and move it with your finger.
- Pinch to zoom in until you can see the exact spot.
- Choose the location. The code is shown.
Zooming in matters even more on a small screen, because a fingertip covers a wide area. Take a moment to confirm the position. See zooming in to the entrance.
Look up a code on your phone
Paste the code into the search box at the top of the site, or open a link someone sent you, such as upcs.io/PK-1A2B-3C4D. The lookup page then offers Open in Map, Get Directions, Share / Copy link and Copy coordinates. Read get directions from a code to see how to start a route.
Sharing from your phone
Copy the link or the code and paste it into your messaging app. Sharing a code by message covers what to include.
Tips
- Use a recent version of your browser for the best map experience.
- Keep an eye on your connection; the map needs to load to display the location.
- If the page does not behave as expected, reload it and try again.
UPCS is not available offline, so a connection is needed to create or look up codes.
