When someone sends you a UPCS code, you can go from the code to a route in a few steps using the Get Directions option on the lookup page.
Steps
- Open the lookup page. Paste the code into the search box at the top of upcs.io, or go to
upcs.io/PK-1A2B-3C4Dwith your own code. - Confirm the country and position look right. If you were told a different town, stop and check with the sender.
- Choose Get Directions.
- Follow the route that opens in a map, starting from where you are.
Tips for getting there
- Use your phone for navigation; the lookup page works in a mobile browser. See using UPCS in a mobile browser.
- Compare the destination marker with the entrance described by the sender. If a building is large, see zooming in to the entrance.
- Keep the share link handy in case you need to reopen the page when you arrive.
If the route looks wrong
A code covers a 3 m by 3 m cell, so routing apps may drop you at the nearest road rather than at the door. Use Open in Map on the same page to see the exact position and walk the last stretch. See opening a code in the map.
If the position itself seems incorrect, read what to do when a code shows the wrong place.
Alternative: use coordinates
If you prefer another application, copy the coordinates from the same page and paste them there. Using coordinates in another app describes how.
