A courier often has only your street address. A UPCS code lets you show the exact entrance or drop-off spot. Here is a reliable way to hand it over.
Steps
- Create the code for your delivery spot. Open the map on upcs.io, zoom in to the entrance or door, and choose it. See generate your first code.
- Look up the code to confirm it shows the right place. Checking you chose the right spot lists what to look for.
- Copy the share link, or the code itself, for example
PK-1A2B-3C4D. - Send it to the courier by message, or add it to the delivery note when you place an order.
- Give your normal address too, so the courier has both.
What the courier can do with it
Opening the link takes them to the lookup page, where they can use Open in Map to see the location or Get Directions to plan a route. They can also copy the coordinates if their own tool needs them.
Tips for smooth delivery
- Say which entrance is meant: front gate, side door, reception.
- If there is a gate or compound, see codes for gates.
- If you live in a block, add the floor and flat number in words. Codes for apartment buildings explains why.
- Keep your phone reachable in case the courier needs to ask.
Remember
A UPCS code is not an official postal code, so it supplements rather than replaces your address. Whether a delivery service uses it is up to them, which is why sending it as a link and with your address is wise.
