The search box at the top of upcs.io is the quickest way to look up a code. You paste the code, submit it, and the lookup page opens.
Steps
- Copy the code from the message or document where you received it. Copying avoids typing errors.
- Open upcs.io.
- Click or tap the search box at the top of the site.
- Paste the code, for example
PK-1A2B-3C4D. - Submit the search to open the lookup page.
What happens next
The page shows the code, the country, the coordinates and the latitude and longitude. You can then Open in Map, Get Directions, Share / Copy link or Copy coordinates. See find a location from a code for a tour of the page.
Paste the whole code
Use the code exactly as given: country prefix, hyphens and both blocks. Leaving part out, or adding extra text, may mean no location is found.
If nothing is found
- Compare what you pasted with the original, character by character.
- Check the code has two blocks after the prefix, as described in understanding the code format.
- Ask the sender to confirm it or send it again.
- Try the address form
upcs.io/followed by the code, covered in using the direct link.
Tip for mobile
On a phone, long-press the search box to bring up the paste option. Using UPCS in a mobile browser has more on small screens.
