How to Share a UPCS Code
Three simple ways to share a UPCS code: tell it, send it as text, or send the lookup page link so the recipient sees the map.

A UPCS code is only useful once the right person has it. You can share it in the way that suits the situation.
Option 1: send the code as text
Copy the code, for example PK-1A2B-3C4D, and paste it into any message, email or note. The recipient can paste it into the search box on upcs.io to see the place. This works well when you want to keep the message short. See sharing a code by message.
Option 2: send the link
The lookup page for a code has a Share / Copy link action. Copying the link and sending it means the recipient opens the page directly, with no need to type or search. Details are in how to copy the share link.
You can also build the link yourself by adding the code to the site address: upcs.io/PK-1A2B-3C4D.
Option 3: tell or write it
For someone with no phone nearby, read the code aloud or write it clearly. Spell out the letters and digits and keep the hyphens. Writing a code on packages has practical tips.
Before you share
- Look up the code yourself to confirm it shows the place you meant.
- Consider who will see it. A code points to an exact location, so share it only with people who should know where it is. Privacy basics explains this further.
- Include your normal address as well; a code works best as an addition to it.
Who can use it
Anyone who has the code or link can look up the location it points to, so share it with care.
