What the UPCS WordPress Plugin Saves With Orders
The UPCS WooCommerce plugin stores the UPCS code, latitude and longitude as order meta. See what is kept and how it helps with delivery.

When a customer chooses a location on the checkout map and places an order, the UPCS plugin saves the location with that order so that you, or whoever delivers it, can use it later.
What is saved
The plugin stores three values as WooCommerce order meta:
- The UPCS code, for example
PK-1A2B-3C4D. - The latitude of the chosen point.
- The longitude of the chosen point.
These are saved on the order itself, so they stay with it after checkout. Logged-in customers can also save locations to their account.
How to use the saved location
- Open the order in the WooCommerce admin.
- Read the UPCS code and the coordinates on the order screen, under the billing and shipping address.
- Give the code to your courier, or look it up on upcs.io by pasting it into the search box. The lookup page offers Open in Map and Get Directions.
Because the same coordinates always give the same code, and each code is a 3 m x 3 m cell, the code identifies a precise spot at the customer's address.
What it does not do
- It does not replace the billing or shipping address. The code is a complement to the written address.
- It is not an official postal code and is not issued by any postal operator or government.
- It does not change how WooCommerce calculates shipping.
Using the data in other places
Order meta is accessible to other WooCommerce tooling that reads order data, so it can be used in packing slips, emails or exports where your setup allows. Check how your own extensions read meta fields before relying on that.

Frequently asked questions
Does the plugin replace the shipping address?
No. The UPCS code accompanies the normal address. It does not replace it.
