Troubleshooting
PrestaShop UPCS Map Not Visible or Not Linked
Fix a hidden UPCS map in PrestaShop or a location missing from orders by checking the API key, display position and Link location to order.
Updated 14 October 2026 · 2 min read
The UPCS module for PrestaShop shows a map at checkout and can attach the chosen location to the order. Two things commonly go wrong: the map is not visible, or the location does not appear on orders.
Symptom
The checkout has no map, or orders do not show the "UPCS Delivery Location" card.
Likely causes
- The module is installed but not enabled, or the API key is missing or rejected.
- The Display position setting puts the map somewhere your theme does not render.
- "Link location to order" is not turned on, or the customer did not tick the link option at checkout.
- Cache is serving an older page.
- The PrestaShop version is below 1.7.7.
Fix it step by step
- In the back office, open Modules, then Module Manager, and confirm the UPCS module (v1.2.0) is installed and enabled.
- Open its configuration and re-enter the API key. Check the key is active and your shop's https address is in Allowed origins. See invalid or inactive key and origin_not_allowed.
- Change the Display position to another available position and save.
- Add
{widget name='upcsmap'}to the template where you want the map, if you prefer a manual position. - Turn on "Link location to order" and save.
- If you upgraded the module, use Reset so new hooks register. Then clear the PrestaShop cache and the browser cache.
- Confirm you are on PrestaShop 1.7.7 or later (8.x is supported).
Confirm it is fixed
Place a test order and choose a point on the map. The order in the back office shows the "UPCS Delivery Location" card with the code and coordinates. Orders placed before you enabled the link will not have it.
When to contact support
If the map or card is still missing, contact support with your PrestaShop version, the module version and your theme name.
