    OpenCart UPCS Module Won't Install or Show

    If the UPCS OpenCart extension will not install or the map does not appear, check the version, installer, module status and Checkout layout.

    The UPCS extension for OpenCart installs through the Extensions installer, then needs to be enabled and added to the Checkout layout. Missing any one of these steps leaves you with no map.

    Symptom

    The upload fails or the extension does not appear in the list, or it installs but no map appears at checkout.

    Likely causes

    • Your store runs OpenCart 3.x or older, but the extension targets 4.x.
    • The file was unzipped or renamed before upload.
    • The module is installed but not enabled.
    • The module was not added to the Checkout layout.
    • The API key is missing or rejected.

    Fix it step by step

    1. Check your OpenCart version. The extension requires 4.x.
    2. Go to Extensions, then Installer, and upload upcsmap.ocmod.zip exactly as you received it, without unzipping. Then choose the green install button next to UPCS Map in the Installer list.
    3. If the install fails, enable the extension installer and make sure the storage folder is writable, then try again.
    4. Go to Extensions, set the type to Modules, install UPCS Map with the green plus button, choose Edit and set Status to Enabled.
    5. Open the module settings, enter your API key and save. Check the key is active and your store's https address is in Allowed origins. See invalid or inactive key and origin_not_allowed.
    6. Go to Design, then Layouts, edit the Checkout layout, and add the UPCS Map module to a position such as Content Bottom.
    7. Clear the theme and cache, and reload the checkout in a private window.

    Confirm it is fixed

    The map appears on the checkout, and after placing a test order the location is attached to the order.
