OpenCart Layout Assignment and Saved Locations
Enable the UPCS module in OpenCart, add it to the Checkout layout under Design, Layouts, and find the location saved with each order.

Installing the UPCS extension does not put the map on a page by itself. In OpenCart you enable the module and then add it to a layout. This page covers both steps and the location saved with each order.
Enable the module
- In the OpenCart admin, go to Extensions and set the type to Modules.
- Find UPCS Map and choose Edit.
- Enter your API key.
- Set Status to Enabled and save. The settings also include an API URL (pre-filled), Default Country and Link location to order.
If you have not installed the extension yet, start with install the UPCS OpenCart extension.
Add it to the Checkout layout
- Go to Design, then Layouts.
- Edit the Checkout layout.
- Add the UPCS Map module to a position that suits your theme, for example Content Bottom.
- Save the layout.
- Open your store's checkout page and confirm the map appears.
Choose the position carefully: test on desktop and mobile, as themes arrange positions differently.
Saved locations
When a customer picks a location on the map, it is attached to the order when the order is created and finalised when its status is set. The module settings page lists all saved locations. You can then give the UPCS code to a courier, or paste it into the search box on upcs.io to open it in the map and get directions.
The code is a complement to the written address and does not replace it.
If something is missing
- Check that the module status is enabled.
- Confirm it is assigned to the Checkout layout and not only to another layout.
- Make sure the API key is active; see error codes explained.
- Save the layout again and reload the checkout.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the map not show on my checkout?
The module must be enabled and added to the Checkout layout. Installing the extension alone does not place it on a page.
