How a UPCS Code Can Be Added to an Order
Store plugins can save the UPCS code, latitude and longitude with an order. See how the WordPress, PrestaShop and OpenCart options work.

A UPCS code can be added to an order when the customer selects a location on a map during checkout. The code and its coordinates are then stored with the order, so the seller and courier can see the exact point.
WordPress / WooCommerce
The UPCS plugin (version 1.3.0) needs WordPress 5.8 or later and PHP 8.0 or later. WooCommerce is required for the checkout map. After installation, you enter your API key under Settings, UPCS Map, and can use Test API Connection to check it. The plugin shows a map after the WooCommerce billing form. When the customer selects a point, the plugin saves the UPCS code, latitude and longitude as order meta. The [upcs_map] shortcode can also place a map on a page.
PrestaShop
The PrestaShop module (version 1.2.0) supports PrestaShop 1.7.7 and later, including 8.x. After uploading it in Module Manager, configure the API key, the display position and the "Link location to order" option. Orders then show a "UPCS Delivery Location" card. For a manual position, the module offers a widget call, {widget name='upcsmap'}.
OpenCart
The OpenCart extension (version 1.1.0) is for OpenCart 4.x. Install it through Extensions, Installer, enable the module and add it to the Checkout layout under Design, Layouts. The selected location is attached to the order.
Other platforms
There is no Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Joomla or Drupal plugin, and no ready-made Magento extension. A custom site can integrate through the embeddable map and the REST API; for Magento this is conceptual, not a packaged product. Developer details are in the UPCS API documentation.
What the order contains
- The UPCS code in the format
CC-XXXX-XXXX. - Latitude and longitude of the chosen point.
- The written address, as entered by the customer.
The code corresponds to a 3 m by 3 m grid cell and is not an official postcode.
Using the data
Staff can open the code on upcs.io to see the point and use Get Directions. It can be copied into a courier note or shared with a driver. See how couriers find addresses and pin-drop delivery locations at checkout.
Keep your API key safe
The key starts with upcs_, is managed in the partner panel and should stay on the server. Keys have an hourly request limit.
Limits
The plugin does not validate the text of an address or guarantee delivery. It adds an exact location to the order, which still needs good instructions, as in how to write delivery instructions.
Frequently asked questions
Which plugins save a UPCS code with the order?
The WordPress / WooCommerce plugin saves the UPCS code, latitude and longitude as order meta. The PrestaShop module links the location to the order, and the OpenCart extension attaches it.
Is there a Shopify or Magento plugin?
No. UPCS has no Shopify plugin and no ready-made Magento extension. Custom sites can use the embeddable map and the REST API.
